I’m an American writer, author, and contributing journalist for Forbes.com. Covering wine and travel, I’ve carved out a beat that views both through the lens of culture, people, and places.
I’ve profiled figures across the wine industry, including Lamberto Frescobaldi, James Suckling, Jean-Charles Boisset, Paul Hobbs, Heidi Barrett, and Maximilian Riedel, focusing on the ideas and philosophies that shape their work.
In my travel stories, I’ve brought readers on adventures from winter cold-bathing in Swedish waters, following the sheep of California wine country, yachting along the coast of Croatia, flying in seaplanes over Alaskan glaciers, exploring 6,000-year-old wineries in the mountains of Armenia, to four-wheeling in the Andes Mountains with a glass of Malbec in hand, always in search of the deeper story behind the experience.
Some of my work has appeared in Forbes, Wine Enthusiast, Decanter, AFAR, Jetset, and Haute Living. Together with Emanuela Panke, President of the Council of Europe’s Iter Vitis, I co-authored Wine Is Culture, a book that explores wine history and its effect on civilizations and cultures. It is available for pre-order prior to its release, expected in May 2026.
Based in Sonoma, California, I previously lived in Rome, Turin, Florence, and throughout southern Italy—an experience that continues to shape my perspective and work.
