Emanuela Panke is President of Iter Vitis – Cultural Route of the Council of Europe, an international network dedicated to preserving and advancing Europe’s and the Mediterranean’s viticultural heritage. For over two decades, she has worked at the intersection of cultural tourism, gastronomy, and heritage innovation, leading cross-border initiatives across programs such as Interreg, Horizon Europe, and Creative Europe. A writer, curator, and specialist in territorial narratives, her work positions wine not merely as a product, but as a cultural system—one that shapes identity, fosters dialogue, and drives sustainable regional development on a global scale.

Layne Randolph

Layne Randolph is a wine, travel, and culture journalist whose work examines wine as an expression of history, place, and identity. Trained in journalism and law, with an LL.M. in international intellectual property law from the University of Turin in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), she began her career as in-house counsel for LVMH’s Fendi in Rome before returning to writing. Now based in Northern California, her work appears in Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, AFAR, and Forbes, where she focuses on wine heritage and cultural systems, bringing together legal insight, European experience, and narrative depth.
